Donate Your Gently Used Household Items

Do you have gently used or new household or construction items to donate? Habitat for Humanity of St. Joseph County welcomes your contributions to support our mission. Due to limited space, we encourage you to contact our office to confirm whether we can accept your donation. Please note that we cannot accommodate walk-in donations.

Donation Drop-off Hours:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8 AM – 3 PM

If you need to schedule a drop off time outside of normal operating hours, please contact the Habitat Office @ 269-467-4663

We are currently unable to offer donation pick-up services.

Items We Accept

  • Home Décor
  • Lighting
  • Painting Supplies
  • New, Unexpired Paint
  • Unopened Wallpaper
  • Electrical Supplies
  • hand and Power Tools
  • Nails, Screws, Fasteners (in usable quantities)
  • Furniture
  • Cabinets and Countertops
  • Kitchen & Bath Fixtures
  • Tile & Flooring (minimum coverage of a 10x10 space)
  • Windows and Doors
  • Large and Small Appliances

Items We Do NOT Accept:

  • Construction Waste
  • Lumber
  • Chemical Products (e.g., cleaning products, pesticides)
  • Hazardous Waste
  • Cribs or Car Seats
  • Items intended for use by Children Under 12
  • Electronics and Tech Items
  • Used Toilets or Toilet Seats
  • Carpet remnants smaller than 10x10 ft.
  • Food Items
  • Lightbulbs
  • Medical Supplies
  • Unlabeled Containers of Liquids
  • Used Helmets or Hard Hats
  • Used Mattresses or Box Springs
  • Expired Construction Materials
  • Offensive or Inappropriate Items
  • Adult-themed Items or Media
  • Weapons or Fireworks
  • Broken, Damaged, or Unusable Items
