What is the Mendon Housing Initiative?

The Mendon Housing Initiative (MHI) is a community-based citizen committee established to assist the St. Joseph County MI Habitat for Humanity in bringing its housing programs to the Village of Mendon.

MHI Goals

We will commit to raising $30K of the $100K necessary to build a Habitat for Humanity home in Mendon. This is a one-time effort to create a fund that is replenished with the sale of the home. It enables H4H to continue to build a home annually.
We will secure a building lot through donation or discounted purchase. • We will solicit community involvement in the building process. This would include donations of building materials and volunteer time for work on the home.
We would achieve these goals in to order to break ground for the first build in Spring, 2022.
